To infinity and beyond! Family fun

In honor of today's lift off of the final mission of Endeavour, I thought it would be fitting to share our visit to the Kennedy Space Center.

We decided to extend a cruise vacation by spending an extra day prior at Port Everglades. It was exciting to actually see how large everything is in person. I can't imagine what it would be like to be in space feeling so small. I truly wish the government would explore the ocean as much. There is so much out there!!

This is a two page spread. The left side has a pocket that has a map and some post cards from our trip. I really like to display/hide mementos from the trip. Sorry for the bad pictures. Still trying to figure out a way to capture them.

Emotional...a year has almost passed

I can not believe time has ticked by so quickly. My little Pea will be ONE on Friday. She is one of my new favorite subjects to scrapbook.

On the day that you were born
MAY 13
the stars twinkled in your eyes
the sunlight danced in your hair
the moonbeams kissed your cheeks
And the ANGELS sang your sweet name
AUDREY JANE

Mommy, Daddy and Brother love you lots PEA. We waited forever to meet you.

Enjoy

Best of friends

What would Audrey and Sophie do without each other? Have you seen Sophie before? If you have a shower to go to, I bet that little baby would love a Sophie too! Best teether ever.

Where has the time gone? I can not believe my little one will be ONE this week. Isn't she, "Cute as can BEE" ?

Have you had your mamogram?

I decided in 2007 to start walking on Mothers Day at the Koman Race for the Cure. My mother passed away from other means but it was a way to do something positive in her memory. I have not walked in a few years. I was pregnant in 2010 and this year I wanted to spend the day with my two babies. I am however participating this year again in the Ovarian walk.

I hope many of you participated yesterday. It was a beautiful day and I was thinking of those of you who beat the disease or are hanging strong.

Enjoy!

Take me out to the ... PHILLIES

In honor of us taking Audrey to her first Phillies baseball game tonight, I thought it would be fitting to pull out an ol' game scrap. Aaron's first girlfriend. She was so sweet. I actually cried when he broke up with her. (haha crazy. I know)  I think it was because I was young once and knew what it felt like. It was a fun night at the game. I can't wait for a repeat tonight.

This is from 2005.  Pre circut machine so all the letters are hand cut. Gosh scrapbooking has come a long way since. I should probably show you some recent stuff soon or you may loose interest.

Enjoy

CHARACTER. Soccer mom, how I miss it!

My son played Soccer for so many years with Bridesburg Cougars. So many good friends with great parents. They became our weekend family and I sure miss our get togethers. Soccer is a lifestyle. Aaron started out in defense and ended his career as a hurt goalie. He made his high school team and a few weeks later tore his stomach muscles off his pubic bone OUCH! Well that is a muscle that is highly needed for goal. Every now and then the old team gets together for tournaments and it is great to see them. Friends for life.

Here is an old old one page Scrap that I did in the way back in the beginning. You'll soon see how my scrapbooking progresses.  It was pre contacts for Aaron. He rocked the goggles, don't you think?

Enjoy.

SPORTS don't build CHARACTER, they REVEAL it. haywood brown

ZIP-Exploring Costa Rica via AIR!

Another addiction. CRUISING! I took my first cruise 8 years ago, exactly when I started scrapbooking. My first cruise was a present to myself after my divorce. I drug my son and mother along. I enjoyed it so much I've been on approximately 15 more since and introduced it to my now husband Michael and next year will be Audrey's first cruise.

Many of my good friends were met online through cruising. We had something in common, cruised together and now get together at each others cities. Some are practically my neighbors. We are from all over the US from Seattle to Florida, from our 30's to 80's. We vacation with each others families and celebrate everything that goes on our lives.

Here is a 2 page spread from 2007. I did a Panama Canal cruise with all my girlfriends. Here was one of our excursions in Costa Rica. If you have never tried Zip lining, I highly recommend it. Wonderful!

Enjoy.
